Tammy Kockaya
Tammy Kockaya, CMP, CMM, is the Chief Strategy & Growth Officer with the Event Leadership Institute, the premier education and professional development provider for event professionals. She has been a leader in the events industry for 20+ years as an in-house corporate event professional, from her start as a meeting planner with CEB (now Gartner) to leading a 20+ team of meeting and event professionals with KPMG LLP. Before the events industry, Tammy worked in higher education as student affairs professional with the University of Maryland College Park. As a result, she has a depth of experience driving complex projects and strategic initiatives, developing relationships with stakeholders and vendors, and developing talent.
Tammy joined the Event Leadership Institute in January 2021 as a freelance consultant executing on projects and initiatives, developing strategic partnerships, and building the business development function. In addition, she hosts and moderates panel discussions for the monthly webinars and has been engaged in developing new curricula and educational offerings for ELI.

Pat Schaumann, CMP, CSEP, DMCP, HMCC
Pat is Director, Life Science Development at McVeigh Global Meetings & Events, and founder and Manager of the Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate (HMCC) program for MPI which now boasts over 4,000 recipients, representing 19 countries.
Pat is the author of “Breaking the Code to Healthcare Compliance”, 5th Edition, a health policy resource book for meeting professionals, physicians and manufacturers that addresses the impact of the National Physician Payment Transparency Program: Open Payments (formally the Physician Payments Sunshine Act) and global cross-border compliance. The book is the resource for the Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate program being offered globally through MPI, St. Louis University and the Convention Industry Council CMP-HC certification program.
She is also the Executive Editor of the newly released “MPI CMP Healthcare Training Manual and “The Guide to Successful Destination Management”. Pat is a contributing editor to 5 editions of the CIC Manual.
She founded and served as Director of the MPI MD special interest community, which now has over 1,000 medical meeting professional members. Pat was recently named by Meetings Today as a Meetings Trendsetter and was again named One of the Top 25 Women in the Meetings Industry.
She was recently recognized, for the fourth time, by Successful Meetings magazine as One of the 25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry.
Pat has served as an adjunct Professor at 4 universities and currently Co-chairs the Hospitality Management Industry Advisory Board at St. Louis University’s School of Professional Studies and serves as faculty for the Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate.
Pat is considered a subject matter expert on global healthcare compliance.

Dr. Mark Rowe
Dr. Mark Rowe has been a practicing family physician for over 25 years.
He is a founder & doctor at the RoweCreavin Medical Practice & ‘BeWell Clinic.’
In 2009 Mark founded the Waterford Health Park, by sensitively restoring the Presentation Convent (a protected structure originally designed by the gothic revivalist architect Pugin, of Big Ben fame)
It espouses Marks core values towards primary healthcare provision – ground floor GP access, a ‘walk to’as well as ‘drive to’ for local community, free onsite parking, a building that inspires & supports positive community health initiatives in addition to an internal environment that creates a ‘generative space.’ This includes an internal healing garden & layout that ‘normalises’ the health experience. This was recognised internationally in 2013 in receiving the global health improvement award – ‘A Place to Flourish’ award in Chicago.
Marks passion for wellbeing has led to his being appointed an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the RCSI School of Medicine & Health Sciences.

Jody Brandes, HMCC, CMP-Fellow, CMM
Jody is an accomplished medical event professional with over 25 years of experience in corporate events and conventions, as well as venue and third-party planning, including the very unique experience of planning the NBC Gravity Games.
With a passion for sustainability in events, Jody is a recent recipient of the 2021 PCMA Northern California Chapter BAMIE award for Sustainability Champion and Board member and Education Co-Chair of the Society for Sustainable Events.

Michael Varlotta, HMCC
An expert in medical education and a career in bio pharm that spans over 25 years, with the last 15 in medical affairs and marketing, Michael is currently an independent consultant helping pharma address issues and concerns with compliance and FFS activities as well as KOL engagement.
During his tenure at J&J, he led multiple compliance policy updates. procedures and operationalizing transparency, including developing a streamlined process and state-of-the-art system for grants, advisory boards, and speaker bureaus.
He also has extensive experience in brand marketing and sales, as well as working as a registered vascular technologist. Michael is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) and has his Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate (HMCC).

Natalie Marchbanks
Natalie’s passion is helping companies promote and grow their brand! With over 20 years of experience in experiential, event, and mobile marketing as well as building/office interior and exterior branding,
Natalie is currently an Account Executive with Craftsmen Industries, helping healthcare organizations across the nation deliver their quality care in mobilized clinics. Chris Bryant
Chris is the Vice President of Analytics and Insights Management at Array. He leads a team that partners with stakeholders across life sciences to leverage meaningful analytics and discover actionable insights that tell the story of success and drive purposeful event design.
His career in events started in London nineteen years ago, producing conferences and exhibitions globally for Boehringer Ingelheim, AstraZeneca, and GSK. Following his passion for all things digital, Chris set sail for Singapore to start and run SpotMe’s APAC business before traversing the globe once again to lead sales and client services at Concise in New York. A keen golfer and lover of smoking meats on the weekend, he is a regular hiker, tackling some of Colorado’s most beautiful mountain trails.
