About Your Course
Course Format
This is a fully online, web-based course that can be done remotely.
While students and the instructor are not tied down to specific times, learners are expected to fully participate in all program activities, complete required work, and submit assignments using the online system and website. We understand busy schedules of students and therefore you will have access to course materials for an additional four weeks after the class should you need to catch up or wish to review materials again.
This is a 5 week course. We suggest setting aside 2 hours per week to view the material and participate in the activities.
Course Completion Policies
Each required lesson must be successfully completed in sequential order as per the schedule. All assessments must be completed to proceed to the next lesson.
In the event that a Learner is unable to complete all of the course and/or program requirements for any reason by the course end date, their official record will be marked as “Incomplete” indicating that they have not met the requirements for successful completion. In such cases, the Learner will not be eligible to receive a program Certificate (for certificate programs), CMP credit hours, or their ELI Digital Credential and will be required to repeat the course, program, or portion of a program at the Learners’ expense.
All course requirements must be completed in order to receive both the Certificate of Completion and the ELI Digital Credential.
Certificate & Credential
Learners who have completed all the coursework and passed the final exam with an 80% or higher will receive a Certificate of Completion and an ELI digital credential. Certificates are available to view and download under My Account -> My Certificates. Digital credentials are distributed via Credly.
Certificates of Completion and ELI Digital Credentials will be awarded and distributed within two weeks of the end of your course.
Course Access Expiration
Learners enrolled in online courses are provided access to the Event Leadership Institute learning website. Four (4) weeks following the course end date, the Learner’s access to this course will expire. It is the Learner’s responsibility to ensure that they have reviewed any materials that they would like to note for future reference.
Learners with Event Leadership Institute memberships will continue to have access to the on-demand course library.
Course Extensions & Re-Takes
In the event that a Learner experiences a mitigating circumstance preventing them from completing course and/or program requirements before the course end date, the Learner may apply for an extension at [email protected].
The non-refundable extension fee is $50 per month up to a maximum of 3 months ($150). Payment is required at the time of application.
Should a Learner be required to repeat a course due to unsuccessful completion, regular tuition fees apply for the repeated course(s) or module(s). Event Leadership Institute may choose to waive these fees under special circumstances at its discretion.
