Earning the Events Industry Council’s Certified Meeting Planner designation showcases your industry expertise to employers and clients and enhances prestige among peers. However, with the last standardized exam in the rearview mirror for many, navigating the CMP-International Standards (CMP-IS) and related study material can be intimidating.
This course from the long-time leaders in professional development and online education is designed to provide you with the strategies, resources, and knowledge to be successful when sitting for the CMP exam.
With self-paced learning, an online practice exam, and 1 year of on-demand access, ELI’s CMP Exam Prep Course provides comprehensive support for your entire CMP certification journey. However, taking or completing this course does not guarantee passing the CMP Exam.
This on-demand course includes all the same materials as our live course with the exception of live engagement opportunities with your instructor and peers. Prerequisites & Course Requirements
To be successful in this course, students will need to purchase (or borrow) the necessary books for weekly reading assignments. These books can be purchased through the PCMA website and include:
- EIC Manual, 9th edition $99.95 USD
- Professional Meeting Management, 6th edition $110 USD
- APEX Industry Glossary (supplemental), $35 USD
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Define the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) International Standards domains and skills
- Engage in self assessments in order to identify personal knowledge and skills gaps in CMP content and skills
- Develop a personal learning plan to address knowledge and skills gaps
- Practice and apply exam-preparation and test-taking skills to reduce exam anxiety
